I think it was my second concert when I didn't stand in one of front rows, but it was so much fun. I could jump as I wanted to, and I could do the headbanging without people around pulling my hair
There were two support acts. First one, Ammotrack, was good, but didn't make any extraordinary impression on me.
However, the second support, Avatar, caught my heart (if you can use that expression writing about a metal band ^^). Energetic, with catchy drums and a bit of industrial flavour. Two best songs: "Torn Apart" and "Black Waltz".
Worth checking!
Hardcore Superstar concert, first of all, seemed to me the longest I've ever been to.
And it had a short fire-alarm break in the middle
Unfortunately, I don't remember the setlist, but I think they played pretty much what's on "Party Ain't Over Till We Say So" album.
The two most warmly welcomed songs were "We Don't Celebrate Sundays" and "Moonshine", the second one being my absolute favourite. Among other songs there for sure were played was "My Good Reputation" (the one during which the fire-alarm was set ^^), "Wild Boys", "Last Call For Alcohol" and "Still I'm Glad". The last one becoming my other fav after the concert.
In other words, lots of jumping, singing, headbanging and hand-shooting photos
"Don't talk about moonshine
Don't talk about white wine
I'm drawing a fine line
Sick twisted strange kind
I can't sit when the sun shines
You step on white lines
Sick twisted kind"
("Moonshine" by Hardcore Superstar)
But changing the music style, following a twisted trail of thoughts, I went from Hardcore Superstar through Avatar right to AFI.
It still makes me wonder how I managed to do it but well...
Journal title from "Totalimmortal" by AFI.
